p38 MAPK (Phospho-Thr180/Tyr182) Cell-Based Phosphorylation/Translocation Assay Kit - 1 ea
p38 MAPK is activated by phosphorylation at Thr180 and Tyr182 in response to both inflammatory cytokines and stress, making it an important enzyme in diseases like asthma and autoimmunity, as well as in the stress response of the nervous system. The subcellular location of p38 following stimulation is not well understood. Some evidence suggests that activated p38 translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, whereas other reports indicate that phosphorylated p38 is present in the cytoplasm of stimulated cells. Cayman`s p38 Phosphorylation/Translocation Cell-Based Assay Kit provides a highly specific phospho-p38 MAPK (phospho-Thr180 and Tyr182) primary antibody together with a DylightTM (product of Pierce Biotechnology, Inc.) conjugated secondary antibody in a ready-to-use format. Thrombin, which has been shown by scientists at Cayman Chemical to cause the translocation of phospho-p38 MAPK (phospho-Thr180 and Tyr182) into nuclei, is included as a positive control.Application/Cell-Based Assay, Application/Fluorescence, Application/Immunocytochemistry, Chemical Class/Assay Kits, Research Area/Atherosclerosis, Research Area/Cell Biology, Research Area/Diabetes, Research Area/Endocrinology, Research Area/Metabolism, Research Area/ObesitySynonyms :
